We’re talking about us

We’re talking about us: interview of our CEO for BFM Business On Saturday 10 February 2024, David Leopoldes, CEO of SCHILLER Medical was interviewed by Vincent Touraine on the set of BFM Business. This interview was an opportunity to find out more about SCHILLER Medical, a centre of excellence in defibrillation and MRI patient monitoring, our activity, our know-how, our products and our missions. David Leopoldes reminded of the numbers of cardiac arrest in France, 50,000 cardiac arrests per year and therefore the importance of knowing and performing first aid procedures. Every minute without intervention reduces the victim’s chances of survival by 10%, whereas if the victim is treated quickly, the chances of survival increase. Innovation, technology and connectivity are at the heart of the development of our devices, which are designed, developed and produced in our production site in Wissembourg.  The interview ended on a thank you note toward all SCHILLER Medical employees, whose commitment has led to an exponential growth during the last few years.  Watch the interview below to find out more. https://videos.files.wordpress.com/KkdTcb92/focus-pme-sam-1002-groupe-schiller-medical.mp4

The device enabled a defibrillator to be used quickly before the ambulance arrived. hanks to the combination of an immediate emergency call, the quick actions of Dr. Mustafa Ali and the swift delivery of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED), lifesaving measures through defibrillation could be initiated before the arrival of the ambulance. TF1 publication : drones and emergency assistance

drones and emergency aid with defibrillators Will firefighters soon be equipped with drones to rescue victims? TF1 reported on the thinking behind the future firefighters. They could be equipped with drones carrying a defibrillator. This could speed up response times, particularly in large cities with heavy traffic. A nearby bistander could attempt to resuscitate the victim using the defibrillator’s instructions.  “It’s extremely easy to use. All you have to do is to attach the electrodes on the person’s body and follow the device’s instructions. The device will analyse the patient and tell you what to do.” explains the major in the report. For the moment, these interventions are only tests. In the report, the firefighters carry out their tests with the FRED easyport plus (2,07 minutes in the video). This is a small and pocket-size defibrillator, powerfull for anyone, at anytime and anywhere. The advantage of drones for the emergency services? The drone’s advantage: speed. It’s free of the terrain and can travel in a straight line, whereas fire engines have to use roads and boats have to pass through locks. A drone equipped with a small defibrillator could help rescue professionals. Follow this link to watch the replay: Click here
