Innovating with impact

The SCHILLER Medical Research and Development team employs more than 30 engineers working on the future of medical devices. Our main goal regarding innovation has always been to reduce the weight and size of our devices, helping emergency and healthcare professionals in their everyday jobs.

One of our important milestone was the development of biphasic defibrillators. In the 2000s we were among the first to include biphasic defibrillation in our devices. Whereas a monophasic waveform delivers electrical shocks in one direction, with a biphasic shock, the current travels in two phases, using and thereby exposing the patient to less energy. Our defibrillator FRED easy was the first to include this biphasic waveform. Discover the evolution of our devices below…

2000s

SCHILLER Medical was one of the first to develop a monitor/defibrillator with a touch screen for emergency professionals

With the DEFIGARD Touch 7, also came the development of the communicating aspect of our range of devices. Our teams are constantly working on improving the connectivity and communication of the devices with the outside world.
